Duties:
Responsible for execution of work in accordance with the Maintenance Management System, budget estimate within discipline, cost effective solutions to problems and management of dedicated sub-contractors as applicable in support of an offshore asset.
Management of Maintenance Mechanical Integrity issues relating to Static Equipment (valves, vessels etc), Cranes and Lifting Equipment and Ancillary Support systems and devices.
Coordination of like for like pipe repairs/spool replacement and MCDR work.
Provide day-to-day Onshore Mechanical Technical Support and advice to Offshore Maintenance Teams.
Liaise with Mechanical Engineers, related sub-contractors and vendors on an as-required basis.
Timely delivery and quality of all deliverables against agreed plans and budgets.
Provide specialist support with regard to the required inspection, fault analysis, repair/remedial strategy and acceptance testing of equipment returned for investigation repair and/or overhaul.
Analyse and diagnose plant and equipment problems.
Assign or undertake other roles and responsibilities, within competence, of other designated roles within the organisation.
Provide Technical input/approval for proposed modifications.
Attend Maintenance Planning meetings and provide technical input.
Optimise the delivery of Mechanical Maintenance Support to all assets.
Participate in call-out rota with other disciplines.
Contract Management of specified sub-contractors.
Experience and background:
Suitable City and Guilds / Technical qualification or relevant industrial experience.
Maintenance / Technical Support track record.
Fault finding and trouble shooting skills.
Knowledge of maintenance performance and analysis techniques.
Knowledge of CMMS structure and operating principles. (SAP R3).
Relevant experience in the oil and gas industry.
Would suit a person from an offshore background wanting to develop into a Support Shore based role.
Relevant experience in the field of maintenance support or similar.
