Stephen Nickson, Managing Director of DATS Holdings Ltd is the son of the founder of the company, Trevor Nickson. Stephen started his DATS career in 1992 after qualifying in Production Engineering working in the design side of the business using a drawing board in the draughting office. Later, using CAD systems AutoCAD and Anvil, he worked as Technical Co-ordinator for an RAF Technical Authorship Project rewriting the Flying Manuals.
In 1996 Stephen moved across to the recruitment division working as a Recruitment Consultant specialising in engineering, nuclear, chemical and utilities. His technical background assisted in developing relationships with clients and candidates, successfully managing medium to long term contract / permanent positions for blue-chip companies throughout the UK.
In 2001 Stephen transferred to executive management, shadowing the Managing Director. Over a two year period he worked in a supporting role, while learning and understanding all aspects of the business from an operational perspective. Late 2002 Stephen was appointed as Managing Director of DATS and he has continued to develop and deliver the company’s strategy, lead the management team and interface with the company’s board. DATS continues to expand its technical skills whilst maintaining the same core values of honesty, integrity and quality.

Degree qualified Simon joined DATS in 1993 and heads up the recruitment team. Simon’s strategy is to lead from the front creating solutions for a wide range of industrial sectors from oil and gas through to medical, pharmaceutical, nuclear and manufacturing, throughout the UK and internationally.
